Commissions

All of Robert Manno's music is driven by creative inspiration, but most of his compositions have been written spontaneously, in response to creative impulses. Manno has received a number of public and private commissions, however, which have given rise to some of his most notable work. A list of these commissions appears below.

1981		Suite for Violin and Double Bass commissioned by Judith Yanchus and Laurence Glazener
1987		Three Poems for Two Violins and Piano commissioned by the Concert Society of Putnam and Northern Westchester (New York)
1993		A Mountain Path for violin, cello and piano commissioned by the Concert Society of Putnam and Northern Westchester (New York)
2000		The Crossing for tenor, violin, cello and piano commissioned and funded by the Greene County Council on the Arts (Catskill, New York)
2001		Three Nocturnes for Harp commissioned by Deborah Hoffman
2002		Sonata for Cello and Piano commissioned by David Heiss
2004		Three Scenes from the Mountains for flute, clarinet and piano commissioned by Palisades Virtuosi
